Having posted the previous statement, I'd be interested in what the visitors to this blog think...which is more important, a relationship or a job?

Do what makes you BOTH happy. It won't work if one of you is resentful toward the other.

I agree with you in that we both need to be happy. The difficulty that I have is that it really doesn't matter to me where we live or what I'm doing. I don't want to make it sound too simplistic, as I take a great amount of enjoyment from what I do and the environment in which I do it. At the most basic level, I try to make certain that my life isn't defined by my job. That being the case, I don't really focus on that as being a problem. I am much more focused on having a happy and healthy family...which means that my wife and son's happiness is the top predictor of my own happiness.
